Creamy Garlic Parmesan Shrimp Pasta

Ingredients:

  • 8 oz (about 225g) fettuccine pasta
  • 1 pound (about 450g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
  • Red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)

Instructions:

1. Cook the Fettuccine:

  • In a large pot, cook the fettuccine pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

2. Prepare the Shrimp:

  • Season the shrimp with salt, black pepper, and dried Italian seasoning.

  • In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp and cook for 1-2 minutes on each side until they turn pink and opaque. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set them aside.

4. Combine Pasta and Shrimp:

  • Return the cooked fettuccine pasta to the skillet with the creamy sauce. Toss to coat the pasta evenly.

  • Add the cooked shrimp to the pasta and sauce. Stir gently to combine.

5. Garnish and Serve:

  • Garnish the dish with chopped fresh parsley and, if desired, red pepper flakes for a touch of heat.
