Recipe: Lemon Garlic Shrimp Pasta

 

Ingredients:

  • 8 ounces (about 225g) pasta of your choice (linguine, spaghetti, or fettuccine)
  • 1 pound (about 450g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Grated Parmesan cheese, for serving (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Cook the Pasta:

    • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Prepare the Shrimp:

    • Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels and season with salt and black pepper.
  3. Cook the Shrimp:

  6. Combine Shrimp and Pasta:

    • Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet. Add the cooked pasta and chopped parsley to the skillet, tossing until everything is well coated in the lemon garlic sauce.
  7. Adjust Seasoning:

    • Taste the pasta and adjust the seasoning with additional salt and black pepper, if needed.
  8. Serve:

    • Serve the lemon garlic shrimp pasta hot, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
