Recipe: Honey Garlic Glazed Salmon

Ingredients:

  • 4 salmon fillets (about 6 ounces each), skin-on or skinless
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

For the Honey Garlic Glaze:

  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Salmon:

    • Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and black pepper to taste.
  2. Make the Honey Garlic Glaze:

    • In a small saucepan, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, lemon juice, and grated ginger over medium heat. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally. If you prefer a thicker glaze, you can stir in cornstarch dissolved in a tablespoon of water and cook until thickened.
  3. Cook the Salmon:

    • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the seasoned salmon fillets to the skillet, skin side down if they have skin. Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, depending on the thickness of the fillets, or until the salmon is cooked to your desired level of doneness.
  4. Glaze the Salmon:

    • Pour the honey garlic glaze over the cooked salmon fillets in the skillet. Tilt the skillet to coat the salmon evenly with the glaze.
  5. Serve:

    • Transfer the glazed salmon fillets to serving plates. Spoon any remaining glaze from the skillet over the salmon.
  6. Garnish and Enjoy:

    • Garnish the honey garlic glazed salmon with sliced green onions and sesame seeds, if desired. Serve hot with your favorite side dishes, such as steamed vegetables, rice, or roasted potatoes.
  7. Enjoy!

    • Enjoy this delicious honey garlic glazed salmon as a flavorful and nutritious main course for a satisfying meal. The sweet and savory glaze complements the tender and flaky salmon perfectly!
